Our Story
Atlantic Gate
The history of Atlantic Gate began in 1979 in Switzerland, when the company was founded. That same year, subsidiary companies were established in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea.
From the beginning, the company stood out for its personal, familiar approach to working with employees, partners, and customers. This culture fueled rapid growth, with the volume of shipments increasing year over year.
Between 1986 and 1988, Atlantic Forwarding acquired its local partners in Japan and Thailand, converting them into fully owned subsidiaries. By the end of the 1980s, the Group had grown to over 100 employees.
Despite intense competition and the global recession in 1987, Atlantic Forwarding strengthened its market position in Asia. The company’s commitment to high quality and fair pricing became a hallmark of its success.
In the 1990s, Atlantic Forwarding began expanding its global footprint. Strategic investments in technology enabled the company to streamline operations, control costs, and introduce value-added services. These efforts led to the development of a broader service portfolio and elevated performance across all areas of the business.
Over the following decades, the company built a robust global network of partners and clients spanning Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, and Oceania.
In 2025, after more than 40 years of continuous growth and transformation, Atlantic Forwarding and Atlantic Gate united under a single brand: Atlantic Gate.
This rebranding represents more than just a name change - it reflects a renewed commitment to delivering high-quality service, tailored solutions, and excellence in global logistics.
Today, Atlantic Gate is a truly global freight forwarder. With 300 dedicated professionals and a worldwide network of offices, we continue to deliver cargo efficiently and reliably anywhere in the world.
